About me.
My name is Selina Doran and I will be graduating from Westmont College this coming May with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies. I have learned so much during my time at Westmont through through my involvement and am very grateful for the many opportunities that I've had these past three years. As a freshman I was a part of Westmont College Student Association, and the following year I led Vespers: a student led worship team. I studied abroad in Ireland the Spring of my junior year and now have the incredible opportunity to work for Jamie Rivadeneyera at Allie Rae Footwear.
Allie Rae Footwear is a social good company that is not only marketing a great product, but is also providing jobs for a community in need in Roatan, Honduras. I am passionate about enriching the lives of others and have been able to combine my love of fashion with my desire to bring tangible sustainability and economic growth to a people in need. I love my internship at Allie Rae Footwear because I work very closely with Jamie concerning investor outreach, marketing and social media coverage, finalization of prototypes, and overseeing the final aspects of the company's launch.
I am originally from Bellingham, Washington where I was extremely involved in student leadership, event planning, sports, music and volunteering in my community. I worked in a local clothing store for four years, which sparked my interest in fashion. I have always been passionate about missions and social outreach, and am blessed to be a part of a company that is focused on empowering others through economic sustainability.
Although my plans are fuzzy as of now, I plan to pursue graduate school to study conflict and reconciliation as well as international and cross-cultural communication. I love adventures, the great outdoors and working hard, and would love to attend graduate school in Seattle, Chicago, Colorado or somewhere in beautiful Southern California.
